We exist for one person: the woman considering becoming a gestational surrogate. Everything here is written for her, not for intended parents and not for agencies.
What we do
We publish reviewed educational information about eligibility, compensation and the surrogacy process; we offer a short preliminary eligibility check; and when a woman decides to move forward, we review her application and, only with her explicit, named consent, introduce her to a partner program that fits her state and situation.

How we advocate for surrogates
- Surrogates never pay a fee to use this site.
- We never share an application with a program without naming that program and getting written consent.
- We publish only numbers we can source and date, and only stories surrogates have approved.
- We tell women what to ask a program before they sign anything.
It never costs you anything to use Surrogate Compass. We may be paid by a participating partner when you choose an introduction or reach a referral milestone, which is set out in full in the disclosure at the foot of every page.
