Editorial Policy
Women make major life decisions based on what they read about surrogacy. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Content standards
- Every numeric claim is tied to a named source with a date. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.
- We never present a compensation figure as a promise, or as an average you can expect.
- We never publish invented statistics, testimonials, credentials or partnership claims.
- Pages that are not finished are not indexed, and are not linked from anywhere on the site.
Medical review policy
Pages describing health eligibility, screening or medical procedures are held to clinical review by a licensed clinician. Where that review has happened, the reviewer is named on the page with their credentials and the review date is displayed. Where a page carries no named reviewer, it has not had that review, and you should read it as general background rather than as clinically reviewed guidance. Medical review confirms accuracy; it is not medical advice, and it does not create a patient relationship.
Legal review policy
State law and parentage pages are held to review by an attorney licensed in a relevant jurisdiction, named on the page with their licence states and review date. A state law page is withheld from publication until that review is recorded. Legal review is not legal advice, and every surrogate works with her own attorney.
Fact-checking and corrections
Facts are stored centrally with their source, source date and verification date, so a single update propagates everywhere that figure appears. When we correct something material, we update the page's revision date. If you believe something here is wrong, tell us and we will check it.
